When you are having racism acted against you, whether you are white, black, indian, latino, or whatever race you may be, you may feel as if there is no hope, or you may feel like standing up for yourself and the rest of your race. Some may have this feeling, but may also be scared of the consequences. You can find racism anywhere you go. School, work, your neighborhood, or even the grocery store. If you feel there is a change that needs to be made, stand up for it. Stay brave and fight for what you feel is right. If you stay brave and have faith in yourself, then anything you want to happen, can happen. Dont worry about the consequenses, because you can fight those too, as long as ou have courage.
Some may argue that they cant fight, because they know they'll lose the fight. Or they just aren't very brave, and it wont change anything, but I argue differently. Look at what MLK Jr. did for the black race. He destroyed slavery. Kumalo in Cry The Beloved Country fought against the ways of the big city and was able to make a change. He was able to help his sister, and change her ways. As hard as it was for all the people who stood up for what was right, they still wont the fight, and was able to stay strong against whatever consequences may come. Stay brave and believe in yourself and your ablilities, and anything you set your mind to can be achieved! :P
